Special April Meeting

The Concerned Citizens of Montgomery County will dedicate the April 6th meeting to the issues on the upcoming May 9th Election ballot.

We will have three speakers to provide information on three of the bond issues presented to voters on May 9th.

1. Merger of ESD 7 and 11 (New Caney & Splendora Fire Depts), Speaker - Chief Taylor
2. New Caney ISD Bond Election - Speaker Superintendent Kenn Franklin
3. Montgomery County Road Bond - Speaker - Nelda Blair

The public is invited to attend.  There will be time for questions after each speaker.

The monthly meeting is held in the Community Room of the RB Tullis Library in New Caney.
Social time at 7pm, the meeting begins at 7:30 pm .

Feb 2nd Meeting

Join us Monday Feb. 2, 2015 at RB Tullis Library for the monthly Concerned Citizens meeting.
Our speaker this month will be the Greater East Montgomery County Chamber President, Rick Hatcher.

New Slate of Officers Elected

At the December meeting a new slate of Officers was elected for two year terms beginning January 2015.

Our next meeting will be Monday, January 5th at the RB Tullis Library.  Social time begins at 7pm and the meeting starts at 7:30pm.

Our January speaker will be County Judge Craig Doyle speaking about the new court and issues the Commissioners Court will be working on in 2015.

Join us each month to learn more about what's happening in EMC and meet the individuals that hold key offices within the community.

The public is invited to attend the Candidate Forum hosted by the Concerned Citizens of Montgomery County on Monday, February 3rd at the New Caney High School, located on Eagle Drive in the large auditorium from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Each candidate will be given five minutes to speak regarding issues, including but not limited to, a brief introduction, their background, reasons for seeking public office and some goals they hope to achieve if elected.

This forum is intended to be informative and cordial. Our purpose is not to debate or degrade but to provide an outlet for candidates to express their plans, hopes and desires to accomplish in office.

LADIES NIGHT OUT OF THE COURTROOM. The ladies who preside over many of our local courts have graciously agreed to come and speak with us about their courts and daily activities. Their visit last year was entertaining and very funny, so be sure to mark your calendar for May's monthly meeting of Concerned Citizens.

CERT Community Meetings: The New Caney Fire Dept. is a proud sponsor of the East Montgomery County CERT Program. Cert qualified team members meet on the second Monday of each month at 7:00pm at the New Caney fire station located at 19870 FM 1485 West in the New Caney. Join us for continuing educational opportunities and skill enhancement of your basic CERT skills. Training opportunities include: preparation for mass casualty incidents, disaster warning preparations, participation on managing community events and assisting with non-emergency projects. It is THAT time again – Elections are coming! Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden is having his third annual fundraiser to kick off his campaign for re-election.
